Marks and Spencer Boosts Customer Loyalty with New Digital App

M&S has replaced its traditional paper coffee stamp card with a digital loyalty app that will be trialled throughout Greater London cafes.

The new app, developed in conjunction with Eagle Eye Solutions, works to generate push notifications of reminders for users to claim stamps and current offers, along with feeding data to their CRM (customer relationship management) and POS (point of sale) platforms.

Eagle Eye Solutions CEO, Phillip Blundell, commented: "Digital stamp cards are one of the simplest ways through which businesses can drive loyalty and increase visit frequency. For M&S this trial will not only strengthen customer loyalty, it will also help them to stay one step ahead of competitors in the food-on-the-go market."

When a customer's card is nearing completion, they will be sent an offer to motivate them to visit in-store and collect the last stamp so that they become eligible for a free drink. It is hoped that the app will help M&S rise above their market rivals and boost customer loyalty.
