Walkers Announces the Six Finalist Flavours in Competition Promotion

The Walkers 'do us a flavour' competition is drawing to a conclusion with the six finalists now being announced.

Over 1.2 million Britons entered into the Walkers competition, which called on people to create a new flavour for the brand.

The six flavours which made the final cut were chosen by a judging panel of culinary experts, including chief judges David Walliams and Marco Pierre White.

The new flavours will be put to a public vote and are set to be sold in UK shops until October, while the creator of the top wining flavour will receive £1m.

Making the final cut were the following fresh taste sensations: Cheesy Beans on Toast; Chip Shop Chicken Curry; Hotdog with Tomato Ketchup; Pulled Pork in a Sticky BBQ Sauce; Ranch Raccoon and Sizzling Steak Fajita.

Marco Pierre White commented: "I was astounded at some of the flavours we saw. The thought that has gone into the suggestions really fascinated me and to watch the British public get so excited about creating flavour profiles was great to see."

He added: "David and I agreed that the six final flavours offer something to tempt everyone - from home comfort Cheesy Beans on Toast to American favourite Hotdog with Tomato Ketchup. I can't wait to see which one the public choose as its winner!"
