Small Businesses Prioritise Tech & Broadband for Investment

According to the results of a recent survey commissioned by Telecom provider TalkTalk, this year the majority of British small and medium sized businesses have earmarked broadband and technology as their priority investments to improve success levels.

The study found that 27% of the 1,000 SME's who took part are optimistic about achieving growth in 2015, and said that technology is one of five top priorities to achieve this.

Additionally, as many as 90% of respondents believe that broadband connectivity is 'critical' to their prosperity, with 30% wanting to use broadband to increase their revenues as their New Year's resolution and 20% to create a happier workforce.

On the other hand, 20% of the SME's interviewed were pessimistic about achieving growth in 2015.

Managing Director of TalkTalk Business, Charles Bligh, commented: "The beginning of a New Year is a time for small business to plan for a prosperous 2015 and demonstrate the ambition that is needed for success."

"However, with SME's split on whether they can expect to achieve growth this year, small business decision makers need to take control and have the confidence to demand better value for their business in the coming 12 months."
