Samsung Kicks Off Marketing Recruitment Drive to Boost Product Strategy

Samsung is looking to continue upping its game and further develop the new strategy of promoting its family of products instead of focusing on single devices by undertaking a major recruitment drive for marketing professionals.

The electronics giant is now looking to hire 20 additional marketing professionals in the UK to work on channel and brand activity.

Samsung has also recently undergone a reshuffle of some of the divisions within its IT and mobile departments. Their UK and Ireland IT and Mobile Marketing Director, Ines van Gennip, explained in an interview with Marketing Week that these internal changes are likely to be reflected outwardly with more integrated marketing campaigns across their product range.

In addition, she describes marketing content as "crucial" to drive the connections between the Samsung family of devices. Shortly, they will be launching "demographic bundles" to offer digital content packages relevant to different groups of people.

The organisation is currently in an enviable position and their product development as well as marketing strategies are proving successful - last week Samsung overtook Apple as the world's most profitable mobile phone company.
