Sainsbury's Active Kids TV Campaign Kicks Off with Ambassador David Beckham

Starting yesterday (January 29), Sainsbury's commenced airing a 40 second TV ad on ITV to promote its 10th annual Active Kids campaign.

Launched in 2005, the Active Kids program has succeeded in donating over £136m worth of equipment and experiences to nurseries and schools as well as Scout and Guide groups. In 2013, Sainsbury's invested over £13m in the scheme, and it was boosted by a relaunch in 2014.

The supermarket chain has opted to bring back ambassadors for their latest marketing campaign to support the drive - it will feature David Beckham and Ellie Simmonds cooking alongside school children.

Sainsbury's CEO, Justin King, commented: "The benefits Active Kids brings to tens of thousands of schools and clubs makes us very proud. With the support of David Beckham and Ellie Simmonds, we know that in 2014 we can play a key part in helping young children understand cooking and healthy eating from a young age, as well as continuing to support local communities."
