Revamped M&S Website Launches Today

The Marks and Spencer website has been given a major face-lift, with an unprecedented emphasis on engaging content such as Lifestyle, fashion, news and celebrity features.

According to an M&S statement, the redesign is a product of two years of insight gained from testing using both existing and potential customers. Launched today (18 February), 'The New Look' site holds the initial Home Page tag line of "brighter, bolder and better".

Noticeable changes include bigger product images, more detailed product information and additional video content. Overall, the women's fashion offering has been given the most attention in the site revamp.

According to the retailer, the fresh content has been developed with "journalists from top titles" as well as celebrity and guest editors. It will be shared daily via social media to those who have signed up, and the promotion of the redesign will also be accomplished by an email marketing campaign targeting existing online customers.

In addition, Marks and Spencer is planning a major above the line marketing campaign later this year.
