Pernod Ricard Rolls Out New Personalisation Tool for Its Top Whiskey Brands

With the strategy of boosting sales for gifting occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays and Father's Day next month, spirit brand Pernod Ricard has created a new online portal which allows people to personalise high-end bottles of tipple.

Created by Cubo, the "Your Signature Spirit" site will allow shoppers to add a personal message to the label of Pernod Ricard's top whisky brands, including Aberlour 10 year-old, Chivas Regal 12-year-old and The Glenlivet 12 year-old. Once done, the bottle will then be delivered for free within 10 working days.

As a limited edition offering currently, the portal will shut down on August 15, but it will be revived soon after so that Pernod Ricard can maximise its' Christmas sales.

Meanwhile, during the intervening months the company will assess the most popular gifting occasions, which could lead to additional sprit brands and categories under its umbrella being added to the personalisation service.

Customer Marketing Director at Pernod Ricard UK, Dan Reuby explained that the new portal launch is "a cost-effective way to open up new sales opportunities by being more targeted".
