New PR Company Enlisted to Oversee Rollout of Premier Inn Tech-Savvy Rooms

The Premier Inn chain is gearing to launch a new technology-savvy suite of 'Hub' hotels and has enlisted Clarity PR to manage their successful roll out.

Clarity PR won the project following a competitive pitch, however Frank PR will continue to handle Premier Inn's main press enquiries and duties. The agencies will work jointly to administer the 'Hub by Premier Inn' press office.

The new 11.4 square metre hub rooms, which launch in November, will impress techy guests by offering free Wi-Fi, a 40" smart screen TV and the ability to control all facilities, from lighting to the TV, using an app.

Simon Ewins of Whitbread Hotels & Restaurants, which owns the Premier Inn chain, commented: "Over four years in development and testing, the Hub by Premier Inn concept has been shaped by extensive guest research and aims to capture the imagination of guests who already rely on technology for many other aspects of their everyday lives."

He added: "Clarity PR's credentials in working with technology start-ups made them the ideal agency to help us launch the flagship hotel and app, and we felt its proposal best reflected the innovative nature of our new brand."
